Vic and Rosi

I had the pleasure last weekend of shooting a beautiful wedding reception in Long Island. The couple actually got married in Germany, where the bride is from, and decided to also have a celebration in the States with the grooms family. They were so nice and a joy to watch through the lens :).

New York Public Library

Took a trip to the New York Public Library last Friday. I got my library card and couldn't resist taking some photos. It's just so beautiful, especially with all the Christmas decorations. Snap snap snap :).

Happy New Year!

I am never good with resolutions, but there's one I want to make sure to keep. The past year, I've been so absorbed in my new job that I lost sight of my photography...I don't want to do that anymore.

From now on, I will make time to do the things I love, to explore and capture precious moments, to feel inspired again. Here's to 2012!

Year's End

Now winter downs the dying of the year,
And night is all a settlement of snow;
From the soft street the rooms of houses show
A gathered light, a shapen atmosphere,
Like frozen-over lakes whose ice is thin
And still allows some stirring down within.

Memorial

Over Christmas weekend, my friends and I went to the 911 Memorial. I was impressed with the progress made in just a year. They had built fountains where the two towers once were. New skyscrapers and buildings are being constructed around the memorial. It was truly inspirational to see.

Roses in Winter

What is it about flowers in the wintertime? Maybe the rarity of them makes them more captivating or perhaps they are signs that not all is lost. Whatever the reason, they are simply beautiful...
